About Us

Hauling, Done Friendly

A local, insured Greater Bangor crew. We do the lifting, tell you the price before we start, and route every load to donation, recycling, or the transfer station.

Who We Are

Who we are and how we work

Bangor Junk Hauling is a junk removal service for Greater Bangor. That is the whole job. We clear out the stuff you are done with and we haul it away. We are not movers, we are not a dumpster company, and we do not do repairs. You point at what goes, and it's gone.

Here is how a job runs. You send us the details and tell us roughly what you have. We come out, usually the same week, look at the pile, and give you an up-front quote based on how much room it takes in the truck. If you are good with the number, we get to work right then. We do all the lifting ourselves, out of basements, down from attics, up and down stairs, and out of backyards. You do not have to drag anything to the curb. When the truck is loaded we sweep the spot clean before we leave.

We quote by load size, not by the hour. We think that is fairer for you. An hourly meter punishes you when a couch gets stuck on a stairwell or when the weather slows us down, and it rewards a crew for working slow. With load-size pricing you know the cost before we lift a thing, and a hard job is our problem to figure out, not an extra line on your bill.

Where the stuff goes matters to us. We donate first, so usable furniture and household goods get a second life when a charity can take them. After that we recycle what we can: scrap metal, appliances with the Freon handled the right way, mattresses, and e-waste. The landfill is the last stop, by way of the Pine Tree (Casella) transfer station in Hampden. We will be straight with you though: donation depends on the item's condition and on what the charities are accepting that week, so we cannot promise where any one piece lands. What Makes Us Different

What we stand on

We are local and we get back to you fast. We do the heavy lifting so you do not have to, and we tell you the price before we start instead of running a meter and surprising you at the end. We are an insured local crew, and we treat your home with the care that implies.

We also try hard to keep usable things out of the landfill. Donating and recycling first takes more effort than just dumping a load, but it keeps good furniture in use and metal, appliances, and mattresses out of the ground. That is the way we would want it done at our own house.

  • Up-front pricing, always. You get a real number before we lift anything, and it does not change unless the job is bigger than described. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons.
  • We show up when we say. We confirm a window, get back to you fast, and do what we told you we would do. Same-week scheduling for most jobs.
  • Donate and recycle first. Usable furniture goes to donation, metal and electronics get recycled, and only what is truly junk heads to the transfer station.
Insured & careful

We treat your place like our own. We are an insured local crew. We use the stairs, doorways, and floors with care, we do not drag anything across the yard, and we sweep the spot clean before we leave. Want to know exactly what coverage we carry before you book? Just ask when you reach out →

Where every load goes

We sort before we dump. Each load gets checked for what can go to local donation and what can be recycled, like metal, appliances, and e-waste. The rest goes to the transfer station in Hampden.

Questions

About us, answered

Are you insured?

Yes. We are an insured local crew. If you want the coverage details before you book, ask through the quote form or by email and we will share what we carry.

What do you do with the junk you haul away?

We donate first, so usable furniture and household goods can go to a charity when one will take them. Then we recycle what we can, including scrap metal, appliances with the Freon handled, mattresses, and e-waste. The landfill is the last resort. Donation depends on the item's condition and what charities are accepting, so we cannot promise a final spot for every piece.

Do I have to move anything out to the curb first?

No. We do all the lifting and loading ourselves. We will go down into the basement, up to the attic, up and down stairs, and out into the backyard to get what you want gone. You point at it and we carry it out. When we are done we sweep the spot clean. You do not have to lift or drag a thing.

How soon can you come out?

Usually the same week. Send us a rough idea of what you have and where you are in Greater Bangor, and we will set up a time that works. We cover Bangor, Brewer, Hampden, Orono, Old Town, Hermon, Holden, Veazie, Glenburn, Eddington, and Ellsworth, so we are likely already working near you.

Do you work with businesses too, or just homes?

Both. We clear out homes, but we also handle offices, rentals, shops, and other businesses around Greater Bangor. Whether it is one old desk or a full cleanout, the process is the same: we come look, give you an up-front quote by load size, do the lifting, and sweep up after. Send us the details and tell us what you have.
